We recommend: 

• Replace or clean your air filter at least every 90 days (every 30-45 days if you have pets).
• Keep your outdoor unit clear of debris.
• Check to make sure your outdoor unit’s fins aren’t bent–the fins are basically the vents on the outside of your unit. You can purchase a fin comb to repair bent fins or call a professional to fix them for you.
• Check your condensate drain to make sure it isn’t clogged. This is a PVC pipe that allows condensation from your air conditioner to drain outside. This is usually found near your outdoor unit.
